Bad Humor....tick, tick, tick..thud....

Here is today's ticker, but it's horribly incorrect.   Yes, I've lost 12 pounds since Tuesday, but you see the girl (me) running down the road?  Well, since surgery she feels like she wa**** by a truck, is laying in the road, stiff as a board--rigamortis has clearly set in-- & she needs to be carried away so that the birds don't eat her. sigh.
...oh, oh.....wait, there is a sign of movement....my arm, it's reaching for my water b/c I can't get the sip, sip, sip outta my mind even after the tragedy.

My goodness.  If I had the energy to photoshop my ticker I would turn her upside down with her legs in the air and put a white flag of surrender in her hand!

LOL, you know what that ticker reminds me of?  Remember the game on the price is right, the one where the thing is on the track, and the contestant has to guess so much and if it goes over, they lose?  Well, that's what it reminds me of...  sounds like your movements are in slow motion, but as long as you are moving, HEY!  Then you are A-OKAY!

That was my FAVORITE GAME, Mel!!!

It was a little mountaineer guy and he yodeled as he went up the hill.  He had a pick axe slung over his shoulder and he wore leiderhosen.  My brother and I would always yell for him to keep going because we wanted him to fall off!

Yeah, we weren't quite right.

When they spoofed that game on Family Guy once, I nearly peed my pants!

Yo-de-yoo-de-yooo-de-yooo! (the yodely part)

Hang in there girl, I couldn't even go to the bathroom the first few days without being tierd.  I kept walking.....sipping....and  SLEEPING!  in that order (LOL),  Finally the stregnth came back and I was better.  You will be too.

In the meantime, I'll try not to run over you on the side of the road.  That is if your not laying on the side of the road getting some rest  .........It's going to get better....Trust me!

 MICHEALA!!!!

Are you able to keep down liquids--is the sip-sip-sip going okay?

I'm sure getting hit by a truck is part of it.  Of course those first 24 hours went super well because you were so high on morphine!  Then reality sets in and the healing begins.  Remember, girlie, you were subjected to the Cuisinart special!

Let me know what highway you are stiffening up on and I'll swing by with a pup tent to keep you out of the elements and out of sight of those nasty turkey vultures!  We'll hang a white flag on the roof for all to see.

I'm sure all the other RNYers can tell you what you're going through is probably normal.  I'm sure in a few weeks (FEW WEEKS?!?!?), you'll really start feeling like your old self.  This is time time to rest, let your hubby wait on you (where's that bell??) and catch up on really bad TV.  Isn't that in the Centennial Owner's Manual?  What?  Where's Pam?  Y'all need to do a re-write!!!!

Let me introduce you to the Mareydenis Perspective Changer:  It can ALWAYS be worse.  You could feel like you do AND have an allergy attack from the spring pollen!  Note to self:  change air filter.  I have been sneezing all day.  Hopefully the worst of the pollen will pass before I get banded in 2 weeks.  YIKES!  This time in 2 weeks I'll probably be on my way to recovery.

Okay, that sounds freaky weird!

Just remember to always be grateful it's only as crappy as it is.  When you ask "How could it get any worse," Someone with a big sense of humor will show you.  Now go have a popsicle.

XOXO, my dear Micheala and I'll try to distract you with a hugely long, rambling email later today!

Michaela,
Darlin', you are in what is commonly know as the "what in the he** have I done to myself" post op stage.  It's the one all the surgeons and their staffs forget to tell you about.  It commonly goes away at about 4 weeks when you begin to feel human again.  Some people never get this stage, but lots get it and just deny that they got it because they don't want to seem like they have made a "bad" decision.    It's ok, this too shall pass..  Before long, the butterflys will be fluttering, the birds will be singing, and the turkey buzzards won't be able to keep up with you and you can use the white flag to wipe your brow as you blow past everyone on the highway on your daily jog!

Okay---how TOTALLY random.. back a few days ago I Blog'd on my OH page about my day, especially as it pertained to my husband, Tim, and how he is holding up.....look at part of the Blog---CLIFFHANGER----my favorite PIRight game----freaky----I had just talked about that game --okay Denise & Amy---we are sharing a brain:

At any rate, my hubby was getting scared. He has been my go-to-guy for e'thing....(doing a great job, by the way, until I thought it would be funny to make a chart to hang next to my bed that resembled the Cliffhanger's Yodeling hiker game on The Price Is Right and called it the "Timhanger's Aggravation Chart" and whenever he'd get a little put out I'd move this funny pic of him up or down the mountain until it fell off the end and then I'd try to yodel.  Because he is in charge of everything 100% right now--three kids, house, pets, me) he didn't find it very funny.  In fact, when I woke up this morning the "Tim" had been beheaded & was lying on the floor next to my bed. Yo-de-lay-he-who.....thump").
